This is by far,
the longest boat ramp
ever pushed;
a total of 210 ft of ramp was pushed into the waters of Lake Hartwell.

Ramp dimensions 270 ft long by 49 ft wide.

The job was completed under extreme hard conditions.

During the excavation fragmented rock was encountered, over 800 cuyd of hard material was excavated.
Grading for the boat ramp was done under over 30 ft of water;
creating a more challenging and difficult job.

A special "underwater grading barge" was designed exclusively for this project;
as were other methods of construction.

Interesting facts:
As reported by the USACE the lake had its highest water level ever recorded.
1000 tons of riprap for fill and slope stabilization.
1800 tons of stone was place to grade the bed for ramp.
350 cuyd of concrete.
